| Lucky blinked at Smoke and the mention of a bigger hole making gun. "I'm going to regret this," he mutters as he looks at everyone here. |

| Fidget was wedged into his seat waiting and hoping this ride would be finished soon. He had some sort of light carbine, its specs eluding him other than the fact it shot fast and didn't weight much. He was fairly lost overall and was just following orders at this point. He was fine until he found out he wasn't going to be flying a ship anymore for this mission. He doubted he could have carried enough gear upon hearing that to not feel naked. As he waited he began to run one of his hands aup and down the carbine without realizing it, each pass switching it back and forth from stun and kill. The whole time he was happy with himself for not having to hold onto a thermal detonator again after the accident last time... |

The ramp slowly lift through the mists of the Phantoms cooling vents. It sealed shut and the lock behind it spiraled closed. Eyeryone on board felt their ears pop as the life support system brought the interior pressure to slightly above the interior pressure of the Relic.
The sub-harmonic whine increased in pitch as Ice throttled up the Phantom. The ship slowly and easily lifted clear of the deck. The nose of the craft swivled smoothly around until it was pointed toward the end of the Relic's flight deck.
A few toggled switches later and she began to move forward. As she neared the end of the flight deck Grinders voice spoke out over the Phantom's on board PA.
"Okay, away team. We're putting Blakemere in charge of this excursion. Your orders are as follows. Find out what's on that thing. Find out where it came from and see if there is anything we can salvage from it immediately. So try to keep the incidental damage to a minimum. Crash already has a locator beacon in his Communications relay pack. Find that ships communications hub and plug it in. That will allow the Alliance to send a salvage crew and retreive the hulk."
The was a slight pause as Grinder allowed for the crew to ingest the information.
"Scanner info detects nothing alive on that thing. The signal is broadcasting somewhere near the middle. The engines are cold and judging by the surface temp, they have been for awhile. Intel has located two external hatches and one large landing bay. The bay appears to have no operational Magcon and is open to space. Primary insertion point is there. Utilize back up insertion point as needed."
There was yet another pause.
"Good luck and may the Force be with you."
With a click the communications were cut the Phantom was now clear of the Relic and speeding toward the huge ship. |

Kyle drummed his fingers on the side of the chair armrest.
"Ships don't just lie drifting in space for no reason. Even big freaky alien ones."
He felt Alana's hand pat his arm reassuringly. |

"Guess we'll find out how it got that way," Queen said, looking around to the others onboard.
"Smokes is already smirking about being in charge," she said to Fraz as she squeezed his arm once more before putting it back in her lap. |

Dak raised his eyebrow and looked at the radio at the mention he was to be in charge. But Grinders message was crystal clear. He shrugged to himself and turned to the gathered occupants.
"Okay, folks. Looks like I got tagged for Head cook and bottle washer on this little outing. I'm splitting us up into three teams by squadron. D and Queen will lead their teams respectively. We don't know what this thing is or where it came from. And Fraz is right, Ships don't just lie drifting in space for no reason. So first order of business will be to establish sucurity perimeter and work from there. Vendy your first out, Stinger second take the left half, and Vapor will follow taking the right. Engage at will, but don't shoot a damn fuel blivit and blow up all to hell. Confirm targets first. Questions?" |

Sekuba watched as the Phantom's doors sealed and began take off. He couldn't believe his first mission was scrubbed because of some milking enviro suits. He Threw his helmet into a bunch of canisters that were on the flight deck, it then bounced off to left and wedging itself under a tool chart.
After a moment or two Sekuba went over and scoped up his helmet. He then went over to his X-wing to inspect the ship as if he was going to take off in it. He then crawled in and just sat in the cockpit studying the mods that had already been finish, and noting the wires and computer paneling that were still exposed. "Still not done," he said
He grabbed the two joysticks that were installed and began working them a little, quickly noticing that one had not been connected yet. Nodding in approvement, he got out of the X-wing and walked around the flight deck to keep himself occupied |

Sekuba saw that one of the canisters had fallen from his helmet. Must not have been much in there he thought. He walked over to it and noticed a helmet had fallen out of it. It was odd looking, at least for what appeared to be an enviro suit helmet. He picked it up and fiddled with it until the face plate opened up... He couldn't believe he didn't look through everything before he gave up. He could fit in the helmet. He pushed aside the lid to the canister and found a suit with hands on both the legs and arms.
"You gotta be fraking kidding me. It was right under my snout."
Sekuba quickly shuffled the suit on and ran over to the droid recharge bay. He scanned the droids and found a fairly beaten up, orange, R3. "F6 ay. You'll due." He switched it on and said "come with me." It gave some affirmative chirps and began following him into the hanger bay.
"Get yourself into that x-wing there." Sekuba said to F6. "I'll start the preflight." Sekuba did a quick visual inspection as F6 found the electro magnet controls and began inputting commands. By the time Sekuba was in the cockpit and warming up the engines F6 was nearly in the droid port.
"This is Sekuba of Vendetta Squad to command. I am taking an x-wing and an R3 over to the derelict to join my squad. You all can deal with me later." He cut the channel before he could here a response and began to lift off. "What are they going to do... Transfer me?" he said under his breath as he began passing the other ships in the hanger. |
