For this week's "Fan Friday" update, things are remaining low-key. The big announcements are typically saved for the high-profile conventions, according to executives. For those of us in the community, this announcement is pretty huge.

Ever since their initial announcement back in October 2008, BioWare and LucasArts have been tantalizing us with small glimpses into their world; or, more appropriately, several worlds. At E3 2009, we were gifted with our first taste of what we can expect from their collaborative MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic. The first cinematic trailer, titled "Deceived", rocked the conference last year and has created quite a swarm of buzz across the gaming world and the internet. Since then, via their website SWTOR.com, they have lifted the curtain on the project just a little each Friday. This year at E3 2010, they got us again.

LucasArts and BioWare revealed the first cinematic trailer for The Old Republic yesterday at the Electronic Arts press conference at E3.
